Wine barrels are a never ending source of inspiration. Every stave and barrel head is unique, and figuring out how to best use each piece is a great challenge in the workshop. Starting with materials that have no flat surfaces or right angles leads to all sorts interesting design decisions that I would never think of with traditional lumber.
